Personal Marketing
What would it look like if we used the power of marketing on ourselves?
I recently came across the perspective that vision boarding is essentially the process of marketing to ourselves. It got me wondering what the world would look like if we had full control over the marketing in our lives. What if we were able to sync up the marketing we are constantly exposed to with our vision boards?
If the goal of marketing is to nudge us into making decisions that benefit companies, what would it look like if we were surrounded by subliminal messages that nudge us into making decisions that push us toward living our ideal lives?
Iโm envisioning a mixed reality powered world where we walk in front of a fruit stand and our lenses remind us that we havenโt yet reached our fruits and veggies quota for the day. And when we encounter the choice between and escalator and a flight of stairs, our lenses market to us how taking the additional steps will bring us closer to our fitness goals.
How cool would it be if the future of vision boarding gave us the ability to be the marketing managers of our own lives?
